Posting for Points
This website is designed for student use. Not just for those who were absent in class that day, but to encourage communication, sharing ideas, and discovery. As a way to promote communication, student involvement, and incorporate the ever-desired "Extra Credit", I'm going to try something.
You can earn bonus TEST points for contributing to this website by posting comments. Here is what you need to do:
1. Comment about something you learned in class
2. Post helpful links that you found searching the internet (click the "link" icon in the comments)
3. Post only positive comments!!!
4. To make sure you get your points, enter your name in the following way: First name Last initial, Period #
Example: JonathanF 2
Points awarded will depend upon the value of the comment. A comment of "I'm just posting to get a point" won't get anything, but something like "Today I learned that when you divide an inequality by a negative number, you switch the sign" would get a point. Better yet, something like "Here's a website that has a bunch of help for solving absolute value inequalities" would get 2 points! The big one is if you e-mail me with a picture you found that applies to what we are studying. An example might be a picture in the newspaper of a graph of system of equations.
I will also be putting up a POW: Problem of the Week. You can earn 2 HOMEWORK points for each solution you post. Be sure to give a clear explanation of how you solved the problem. Same sing-in rules apply as above.

In my Geometry class i learned that there are four different types of Conditional statements.Counter example:we only need 1 statement to prove its false.I also learned that Inverse and and contraposatives are almost the same thing but the conclusion and the hypothesis are switched.

Well this website helped me becuase I could ask it questions like"what is the distance formula?".On Tuesday in class I leraned how to give resaons for my problems(math!..lol.

Today in class we learned about the properties of equality, and these 3 are the most commonly used in geometry. The reflexive is the #1 most common property in Geomentry, becuase you're comparing 2 things that are equal. The semetric is basicly just flip flopping. And transitive is almost like substitution.

Today in geometry class we learned about the three different properties of equalities. The first equality we talked about was the reflexive property, it is really simple all you do is rewrite the equation.
EX: Of a Reflexive Property of Eqality -
AB = AB
The next property of equality was the Symmetric property, all you do is flip flop the equation as if looking in the mirror.
EX: Of a Symmetric Property of equation-
AB = BA
The final property of equality we went over was the Transitive property. In this property all you do is take the first letters of the first eqaulity and the last letters of the next equality and write them as a propery of equation.
EX: Of a Transitive Property of equation -
AB = CD and CD = EF, then AB = EF.
